Given some witty bands' tendencies to list inappropriate genres purely for the comedy of it, I didn't know what to expect from Minneapolis duo, The Parlour Suite's self-described Regional Mexican/Soul/Pop. "Worth Your Weight in Gold" was, happily and beautifully, exactly that: buttery mariachi-esque trumpets, a deliciously boomy bass drum, heart-fluttery clapping, and vocals so much like M Ward I had to check again to make sure it wasn't. Inga and Joel had me at "hoo hoo" and sang it with such meaning that, even though I couldn't tell you what a single lyric was, when the song finished I thought, "Man, I know exactly how they feel."
